General Training Programs

The NRTC continues to develop training programs to support small business. Our currently available programs include:

• The Robotics Production Technician Certification (RPTC).
  • The RPTC program covers the intelligent systems used today in the unmanned systems industry as well as many other high tech industries such as  operating systems, control systems, sensors, cameras, photonics, power systems, communication, and mobility and navigation.
  • The RPTC program can have customer specific skills and knowledge requirements added to the program to tailor it to the needs of the customer’s products.
• Design For Manufacturing (DFM).
  • Consideration of manufacturing processes during the design and prototyping phase of product development will reduce overall cost, improve first quality and reduce time to market. We can customize a program for your business.
• Introduction to Lean Manufacturing.
  • Lean principles and strategies are applicable in the production environment as well as engineering, administration, materials and all segments of today’s business, manufacturing and otherwise. Our Introduction to lean manufacturing considers the principles of and reasons and need for lean, introduces the tools and strategies behind a lean system, discusses measures of lean systems and summarizes implementation methodology. We can assist in develop lean systems for any business.
